Description
In the forest of Guédelon, in the heart of an old sandstone quarry, quarrymen, stonecutters, masons, carpenters, joiners, blacksmiths, tile makers, carters, tailors... build a 13th century fortress before your eyes. Guédelon is about building to understand! Take a real trip back in time by visiting this unique building site and meet the workers and craftsmen in activity: they will share with you the formidable adventure of the builders of the Middle Ages.

Self-guided tours: from 1 April to 5 November. In summer: from 8 July to 31 August, daily from 9.30 am to 6.30 pm. Outside the summer period: closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, except during school holidays, closed only on Wednesdays.
