Of course when you think about Burgundy, you think about the vineyards. Names that are music to the ears such as Gevrey Chambertin, Vosne Romanée, Chassagne Montrachet ... So many world-famous and magical names.

In the vineyards of Burgundy we’re happy to open good bottles !

Of course our wine is good and the Burgundians are nice people, to everyone’s enjoyment. Wine tastings in cellars, visits to vineyards and village festivals. Can your senses already feel the succulent glass of wine whith its aromas filling your mouth and palate ? Can’t get enough of it, can you ?

Are your having a nice holiday in Puisaye ? Well good news then, as we’re ideally located 30 minutes drive from Sancerre, Pouilly sur Loire, Irancy, Coulanges la Vineuse, the Joigny area and 45 minutes drive from Chablis.

In Burgundy wine is a way of life

Our tips : when in Sancerre (Cher), let yourself be tempted by a Chavignol goat cheese « crottin » to accompany your glass of wine. When in Chablis, just take the time to hike around the village and when you’re back, enjoy a drink of Chablis wine. And when in Pouilly-sur-Loire, make a stop at « la tour du Pouilly fumé » for an innovative sensory journey.

And what about sparkling wines ? Of course we can’t forget the « crémant de Bourgogne ». So let’s go to the Caves de Bailly-Lapierre, where sparkling wines have been made since 1972. Guided tours of the vineyard are available, and they also have thematic vine days.

Before going home, don’t forget to drop by our wine shops held by Chantal at Saint Sauveur en Puisaye and Dominique at Toucy.

Shall you go to village fairs in Puisaye, you’ll probably meet people with funny looking costumes whith a drink in their hands. So when you’re home you’ll be able to tell your friends that you’ve met the brotherhood of the knights of the « clos des robinettes ». And trust me being a knight doesn’t come easy !

To quote French actor Louis de Funès in the film Cabbage Soup: it flows in your guts like the morning dew on leaves.
