Château de Montigny

Between 2021 and 2025, the major work campaign carried out with the DRAC consisted of completely redoing the slate roof, renovating the framework and restoring certain architectural elements: chimneys, cornices and brick frames, so typical of the region. The aim was to restore the building to its original, purely XNUMXth century appearance. This has now been achieved. Visitors say that Montigny is not a castle like any other. The different styles of interior decoration create a surprise as you move from one room to another. An exceptional place, it is the opposite of an impersonal museum or a somewhat cold castle. It is a warm, lively residence, full of history and memories.
You can also discover the collection of revolutionary earthenware exhibited at the castle.
In the bucolic and peaceful park, you will love the vast expanses of flowery lawns, the beautiful avenue of lime trees, the centuries-old cedars of Lebanon where our peacocks shelter. Three small ponds supply an old fishery and offer a pleasant walk. This peaceful space will lend itself wonderfully to your desires for a country picnic in an exceptional setting. During the opening season, the Château de Montigny hosts cultural events, shows and entertainment.
