The “reference bed and breakfast” reference system, created by the French Tourist Offices, to meet the need for qualification of guest rooms, is widely distributed throughout France. To date, there are nearly 1350 qualified guest rooms. Set up to compensate in particular for the absence of national classification, “Reference bed and breakfast” is a real tool for animation and structuring of the local tourism network.

It is to provide the possibility to non-labelled guest rooms to guarantee the quality of their service to their customers. while contributing to improving the destination’s tourist accommodation offering. Chambre d'hôtesreference® is therefore not intended to replace labels, but to be a solution for operators keen to qualify their offer but not wishing to adhere to a label.
