Promenade des Moines
Marked hike No. 95. Between Puisaye and Gâtinais, this hike aims to take you from the old Cistercian abbey of Écharlis via the Source Carrelée and some woods in the footsteps of the monks.

Description
Departure from the multi-purpose hall parking lot, opposite the town hall.
(D/A) Go up the street towards the no entry sign. At the school, turn right onto a small path which goes around the establishment on the right. Leave the departures on the left to arrive in front of a chicane.
(1) Take the asphalt street until the crossroads. Facing Rue du Château, go down the grassy path on the right and arrive at Rue du Couvent. Turn left and continue on this road to Les Écharlis.
(2) Take either under the porch or to the right of the porch. Leave the two consecutive streets on the right which serve a few houses and after the last farm buildings, the road turns into a path. At the fork, keep to the right and reach the end of a wooded section and the Fontaine Carrelée (closed).
(3) Continue on the stabilized path, leaving a pretty path on the right passing above the water pumping site (not mentioned on the IGN background). Enter the undergrowth, then reach a road.
(4) Go left on this tarmac road which runs along the left along the entire Bois des Chêniaux.
(5) Continue to follow the edge of this wood, turning to the left. Enter the undergrowth for a moment to reach a crossroads of four paths.
(6) Go up to the right and reach a track to take on the left. Cross the Lindets and continue on the road until the RD18.
(7) Cross with caution and continue opposite towards Les Dionnets. The road goes down then goes up to arrive at a crossroads with a path start on the left.
(8) Take this path which crosses a ford (in case of abundant water, choose the footbridge on the left) and ends on a road (RD18, Route de Villeneuve).
Take it on the right and shortly after (around 50 m), go up the grassy path on the left. At the intersection, turn left following the wire fence, then arrive on the street taken at the very beginning.
(1) Head to the right, passing the chicane, then join the path passing at the foot of the school and the car park (D/A).
