Marked hike No. 42. This hike will take place on the theme of water. From the Bléneau Water Gardens, many other water points to discover including the Rigole de Saint-Privé which feeds the Briare Canal.

Description
The starting car park for this hike is located on Avenue Jean Jaurès at the foot of the Water Gardens.
(D/A) Opposite the toilet building, go down the path located at the foot of the sign presenting the Water Gardens. Leave the play area on the left, then the wash house. Cross the arm of the river on the left and take the path at the end of the footbridge.
Pass the chicane, take Rue du Montluisant almost opposite. Cross Rue du Château and take the cobbled lane opposite the church.
(1) Turn right and go up the square, following the buildings and shops. Facing the hall, turn left. After crossing Rue de Turenne, go up it, keeping to the left sidewalk.
At the crossroads, turn left and cross Rue Pierre Curie on the protected passage to enter Place de la Libération. Head towards the town hall. Halfway along, join Rue Aristide Briand on the right to go up it on the left. At the first crossroads, turn left.
Turn left onto Rue de l'Égalité and at the intersection, continue onto Rue de l'Étang. Arrive in the curve with a path in front.
(2) Take it and continue on this main axis, letting the different paths go left and right.
(3) Go to the right, follow the Étang des Luneaux (private, please respect the place). When you reach an open space, stay on the left with the edge of fields on the right and the edge of the woods on the left to reach a partially tarmac road. Keep it to lead onto a road.
(4) Cross and set off on the path which you will have to leave at the first crossroads to go to the left. Pass around the Capitière to arrive on a road. Take it on the right and continue. In the large curve that this road takes, turn left. Shortly after, the gravel is replaced by a dirt and grass path. Arrive in a wooded area and in front of Ru de Beaune.
(5) Leave a path going to the right and cross the street on the footbridge, between the trees. At the end of this passage, facing the field, turn left. The path is not very marked, but it follows the Beaune. It curves and climbs in the middle of the fields to reach a service road with a house on the right. Go to the road.
(6) Cross with caution. Turn left and follow the wall (or what remains of it), keeping the right shoulder carefully. Continue until the crossroads indicating the direction of Bourgeois. Turn right, pass Les Bourgeois, leave the paths leading to La Bastière and Les Bruneaux.
(7) At the crossroads, take the arrowed direction of Adams. Cross and continue on the path at the end of the road.
(8) Carefully cross the RD90 and go down the path leading to La Forge and Les Follets. After crossing the arm of the river, make a large curve on the left, letting the path go towards Les Follets. Pass under a forest canopy with, on the left hand, interlaces of rus arms. Come out at the end of the climb facing a bridge.
(9) Turn left before the bridge and continue along this concrete channel (see § During the hike).
Continue while keeping the channel always on the right hand. It follows the natural slopes and arrives at the Pont du Crôt de l'Âne.
(10) Do not cross by this bridge (private road) but continue along the channel always on the right. Pass the Château du Coudray on the right, then a wash house.
(11) Cross the road at Pont du Palais (without taking the bridge) and continue overlooking the gutter then a road.
(12) Cross the road at the Pont Saint-Jacques and continue in the grassy strip which still runs alongside the channel which remains on the right.
(13)Turn left just before a garden fence with a cement wall, to emerge into Rue de Saint-Cartaud. Take the second street on the right which goes slightly down Rue du Loing. Take this street, turning right, and go to the crossroads with Avenue Jean Jaurès.
(14) Cross this busy avenue with caution. Head opposite into Rue de l'Épalu. Pass the motorhome area. In front of the building, turn left, cross over the bridge. Leave the fish ladder on the left. In the alley, go left, then cross an arm of the river on another bridge. At the exit, turn left to reach the car park (D/A).
