Description
(D/A) Departure from the square of Saint-Julien Church. Take Rue de la Fontaine Saint-Julien until the wash house of the same name.
(1) At the height of this washhouse, take the path on the right, then the second on the right and continue always on this path to, going up, arrive at the Grands Moulins reservoirs.
(2). Take the road opposite, go around the hamlet of La Forêt, keeping this road which arrives in front of an old watering hole on the left.
(3) In front of the water trough, turn left twice in a row.
(4) At an intersection of 4 paths, leave the first path on the right, take the next one on the right and join the D73 road to cross it.
(5) At the end of the path, facing a thick hedge, turn 90° to the left and continue on this path. Join the road, taking care to take the next path on the left (directional marker cast on the ground). Arriving at the cross road, take the direction of Thury to reach the hamlet of Panny. At the entrance to the hamlet, before the old pumping station, go up the right street towards Gemigny, then take the first street on the right and at the big bend on the right, take the path on the left. This round-trip path leads to the Boutaut spring and an old feudal mound (traces only)
(6) Turn around. Returning to this hamlet, go down the street on the right to take the first path on the right which passes in front of the old village washhouse. Continue this path, turning left at the next intersection. At the top of this route, go down to the left to reach a slightly wider path at the bottom. At the crossroads, turn right, then first left to reach road D3. Cross and take the small path which goes down to the Moulery wash house.
(7) Continue heading due south. Cross the D3 road again, take the first path opposite and the next one on the left, cross the road again and continue to reach a small road and turn right. At the second path on the left, leave the road and take this path which goes up.
(8) Then follow the edge of the Bois du Roichat.
(9) Upon arrival on a cross path, turn left.
Cross this wood always straight ahead, leaving all paths on the right and left. The path leaving the wood widens a little and becomes tarmac. Just before the stadium, turn right to follow the edge of the woods.
(10) Cross this intersection straight on and enter the area of the old underground quarries.
A bit of a roller coaster! If you visit these quarries, be careful of stones that can roll!
Cross the road and walk once to the right and once to the left.
(11) Leave the path to continue straight on a small tarmac road which leads to the left to bypass the hamlet of Grangette. Leave the road on the left which joins Thury to take, after the farm, a path on the right which passes in front of the Puits des Champs.
(12) Turn right, take the street at the end of the road and then take the first left. Continue this street which leads to a road and immediately turn left at the crossroads on the path. Go down to road D4.
(13) Turn right then the first path on the left, then again the first path on the left which climbs to the hamlet of Colangette.
(14) At the Carrouge crossroads, go straight for approximately 700m. Cross road D3 and continue opposite towards La Forêt.
(15) In the second curve, leave the road, take the path slightly to the left.
Then take the first left towards South East which will take you to the starting point, ending with a small portion of road (D/A).
