Marked hike No. 45. The CM1-CM2 class of Dampierre-sous-Bouhy has created a walking tour for you. This route will allow you to discover the landscapes of Puisaye and its numerous water points. Description
The departure is from the Place de l’Église Saint-Firmin.
(D/A) Take Rue de la Suchette. Go forward about 200 m and turn onto the path on the right, which in the village is called “Le chemin des goats”. Strenuous climb to an intersection.
(1) Then take the path which goes straight ahead, leaving the hamlet Dominon on the left. Continue straight ahead until you reach the road, turn right. Walk for around 400 meters keeping to the right shoulder until you find a path crossing the fields on the left.
(2) Cross the road with caution to follow this path and reach the hamlet of Marandes. Before the road, turn immediately right onto a shaded path to follow to the hamlet Moulin Gros Bois.
(3) At the road, turn right then, shortly after, take a path which goes to the left. Arrive on a cross path.
(4) Follow this path to the right. it runs along a fairly humid area on the left. Arrive at a crossroads of four paths. Turn left downhill and in the open to the hamlet of Méris.
(5) Turn right and keep the D251 for approximately 300 meters. After a street on the left, a path under high forest emerges, still on the left. Take it, it goes down and fords a stream. Then, a narrow path begins which crosses the woods overlooking the Vallée de la Noue to arrive at a hairpin crossroads.
(6) Turn left on the path that goes up (it almost feels like you are turning around). Follow the path up to the road and continue on the path opposite (EDF transformer on the right).
(7) Leave this path at the fork which leads to Métairie Piot to take the dirt road opposite, dotted with trees in part. Arrive on the road at a place called Tuilerie d'Angelier.
(8) Leave on the left road. Leave the street which leads, on the left, to Les Miraux and Le Petit Angelier. Quickly reach a crossroads with the sign on the left for Étang d'Angelier.
(9) A round trip of 500 m allows you to find this pond and a pleasant picnic area. Continue on this road with a slight uphill climb. At the T-junction, turn right and continue for approximately 200 m. At the next T-junction again, turn left. Go straight on to the track leading to Moulin Bléneau. Also forget the one going straight up to Les Cordes.
(10) At the intersection of four roads, turn right towards Les Pasquiers. Cross the Malaise on the road bridge and go up to the height of a house. Take the path on the left. Arrive at a ford.
(11) Cross it via the stone footbridge, pass the few Forges houses and follow the road on the left which goes up to the crossroads. Cross with caution to take the direction of Les Marandes for about a hundred meters and find the start of the path on the right. Go on this, uphill, to reach a road.
(12) Just before this road, turn right onto a stabilized path. Reach the D114. Cross it with caution and take the opposite lane. At the cross street, turn right, the lane ends at the end. Along the way, note a nice view of the village of Dampierre.
(1) Go to the right and go down to the first residences of Dampierre-sous-Bouhy. At the road, turn left, the view of the church will punctuate your return (D/A).
