Description

Main departure from the Calanque car park, at the foot of the municipal campsite and very close to the leisure center.

(D/A) Leave the car park as close as possible to the campsite entrance. Facing the lake, go left to immediately take the path on the left. Sandy path for a large part which runs along the upstream part of the reservoir. It is in this part that the Étang du Bourdon was located before the creation of the lake. Arrive at a crossroads of four paths.

(1) On the right, stand 2 posts of an old estate fence. Continue straight ahead, being careful when crossing a street located shortly after the crossroads. Pass near a private residence on the left, keep the marked path carefully. The grassy part ends in a gravel part to reach a road.

(2) Continue straight ahead following this road which crosses the Etang de Charmoy dike. Continue to find a cross road at the entrance to a bend. Facing the crossroads, gates block the entrance to the Parc de la Boissière adjoining the Boutissaint estate.

(3) Go to the right until Gaîté. On either side of this small lane are fences separating parks and game reserves. At the fork, turning to the right, a first house on the right and a second on the left mark the road. At the bottom of the descent, a cross road cuts the momentum.

(4) Switch opposite towards Les Rivets (old roadmender's hut on the left). At the Sens Interdit on the left, choose the road on the right to arrive in front of a dirt path. Take it and end up at Colas.

(5) Take the wider lane opposite, leaving an old farm on the right. The D185 is quite straight. It crosses the Ru de Chasseloup and Boitron which supplies an arm of the Bourdon. Continue, leaving the Métairie Archambault farm inn on the right. Further on, the hamlet of Baillys on the left will also be left behind.

(6) The arrival on the dike is punctuated by the weir structures on the right. On the left are the lawns of the gardens which run alongside the various streams formed by the overflows and dike collectors.

(7) At the end of the dike, turn immediately to the right onto a stabilized path which separates the lake and the holiday camp premises. Continue and reach a large curve.

(8) Opposite, a sign prohibits entry into private property. Turn left and go up the tarmac lane.

(9) Take the cross road on the right and keep it. Continue, leaving the equestrian farm on the right, and the chalets and gîtes on the left.

(10) At the crossroads, go down to the right then continue left in the large curve to find the departure car park (D/A).
