Description

Departure from the church car park, Place du Moine Glaber.

(D/A) Head towards the town, on the Place de la Mairie, turn slightly to the right, follow Rue de la Forge. At the stop sign, take the dirt road opposite.

(1) At the main road, keep down the left side for 400m and turn left towards Les Proux de la Route. This small lane is extended by a dirt road. Keep this main path to turn right in the square bend (leave the path on the left) to join and cross a small tarmac road and follow the one which leads to Belles Fontaines. Walk for 150m and turn right onto the path. Follow it, sometimes a few entries in the woods or in a field are forgotten. And almost at the end, this sunken path becomes difficult to follow, so turn left on the path traced between this wood and the old sunken path to arrive at the first pond on this route: the Charmoy pond.

(2) Go up the road on the right and take the first lane on the left. After a crossroads of four paths (the one on the left -private- is flanked by 2 stone columns), the path opposite runs along a wooden moor which separates you from the Bourdon reservoir (very wild part).

Take this path for approximately 450m to turn right (3). This new path climbs regularly and ends on a more used path.

(4) Turn right. At Les Guérins, turn left (the entrances on the right enter the farm). Cross the D85 road and go down the small tarmac lane towards Les Clergeaux. In front of the entrance to the property, turn right onto the dirt road. Continue to reach a through road, turn left, cross the Petits Clergeaux. The road becomes a path, crosses the railway, passes the Loing and goes up the road, which, taking it on the right, ends up on the dyke of the Moutiers pond.
Do not hesitate to make a round trip on the dike before continuing the route on the small road which runs along this pond on the left.

(5) Arriving at the intersection of 4 roads, turn right, cross the bridge which spans the street and reach the intersection with the D85.

(6) Cross the railway track and turn left just after this track towards Moutiers.

(7) Cross the bridge which spans the Loing to find the starting car park (D/A).
