Description

The starting point is at the foot of the church and the Monument of Remembrance.

(D/A) Go up Rue Henri Harpignies, pass Rue Saint-Cartaud. Arriving at the signposted Bléneau – Camerolle intersection, do not fall into the trap, turn left and forget this prompt.

(1) In the large curve drawn by Rue des Étangs, turn left onto the path flanked by hedges. Climb this and turn square at the location of an old path crossroads (partly blocked opposite – November 2019). On the left, in a window cut into the hedge, a lovely view of the village and a reproduction of a work by the painter Henri Harpignies.

(2) Turn right and continue under cover on this fairly wide path which ends on a tarmac road. Take it on the right.

(3) Cross the D221 left-right and head down the grassy, well-shaded path. At the cross path, turn right. Go down, pass above the Ruisseau de l'Étang de la Filonnière, then go back up, keeping this path in the curve (the trace opposite between two fences is the result of the passage of animals).

(4) At the farm with an outdoor poultry pen, turn left. Opposite the Petit Magny house, take the path to the left again.

(5) Turn right. After a square turn, continue along the ditch on the right, cross it shortly after on the busy passage, then turn immediately to the left after this passage. Continue while keeping the ru on your left hand. The path ends and gives way to a tarmac road which arrives at the Foyards farm.

(6) Cross the crossroads and take the road opposite which serves the Guenins houses. It quickly ends in a path which leads to a crossroads. Facing the field framed by the woods, turn right (the trace is not mentioned on the IGN background).
Cut the road and head opposite along the stony path which initially follows a zig-zag pattern. Go under the power line. Arrival at the Camerolle farm is on a tarmac road.

(7) Cross straight at the crossroads and go down opposite following the road signs “Le Moulin de Camerolle”. Leave a path on the right, cross the bridge which crosses the Rigole de Saint-Privé.

(8) Immediately after this bridge, turn right and continue along the channel. It will always be on the right hand side until it ends on Rue Henri Harpignies. This well-shaded portion sometimes runs alongside wild areas, sometimes gardens and the pond.

(9) Go up the street to the right and find the starting point (D/A).
