Les nids perchés du Domaine des Galants

The Domaine des Galants is nestled in lush greenery, protected by a screen of century-old trees. It is located 2 hours south of Paris in Puisaye, near the medieval Guédelon construction site. Less than 1 km away is the small village of St Vérain with its remains of fortifications of a 12th century feudal city with one of the oldest dungeons in France. The city is classified as a Historic Monument. Many getaways nearby: the castle of St Fargeau, the Colette museum in St Sauveur, St Amand and its potters, Sancerre, Clamecy, etc. 

It is in the so-called “Galants” wood that the perched nests are located. The leaning nest: a real cube of leaning wood painted with Puisaye ocher and hanging from its tree 6.5 m high. The sphere nest: wooden sphere firmly attached to its XNUMX-year-old oak. The nest on the water: two cabins nested one inside the other and securely anchored to four beautiful oak trees a short distance from the ground with a terrace overlooking the pond and the nest under the stars: all wood and glass, secured to a magnificent oak tree six meters above the ground.
