Originally from Haut-Doubs, I arrived in Burgundy almost 3 years ago, and more precisely in Auxerre. I had never heard of Puisaye… Even less of Puisaye-Forterre. And you ?
A real discovery…
La Puisaye-Forterre but what is it ? who is it ? where is it ?
A region within the region, west of Auxerre. A territory full of surprises. Forests, unusual places and wild nature… but also numerous rivers. In my opinion, a permanent reminder of my native Haut-Doubs.
But what do we do there?
Visits: the construction of the castle Guedelon, Boutissaint animal park, several castles like that of Ratilly et Saint Fargeau. Of walks on foot or by bike. Bodies of water like the Bourdon Lake for swimming or racing... but also magical shows: the fireworks at Rogny-les-sept-écluses and the light show at the Château de Saint-Fargeau.
I haven't finished discovering this land with magnificent and wild nature. A big fan of photography, I often stop on the side of the road to capture this moment, this landscape that I have in front of me. I discovered certain places thanks to the Tourist Office. I send them a big thank you and look forward to discovering magical places together again.
