Fleeing the noise and pollution, I settled in this haven of peace more than 14 years ago. I discovered Puisaye when I became a mother. I have been able to travel through Puisaye in all directions, over the years where my daughters have been able to marvel at it and flourish there.

My life as a mother in Puisaye

The pram or stroller first accompanied us along calm walks, passing cranes, deer or butterflies. Then, on foot or in boots, it was the discovery of spring water and wild flowers. Little by little, we discovered new sites, forests or ponds. Like on Druyes-les-Belles-Fontaines where we still like to take our trips there.

Here, nature awakens all our senses with the smell of mown wheat, the freshness of springs and these magical landscapes of foggy mornings. But also the songs of birds. Even the nights are wonderful and filled with stars.

Activities to do, even in the countryside!

Then there was the discovery of activities. There are things to do for every age. The castle farm where you can milk goats or give a bottle, the treetop adventure course at Bois de la Folie to play adventurers. And even the geocaching course where I let myself be carried from treasure to cache while the girls have fun playing adventurers. Sometimes, I admit, we moved away a little to see the history of Vauban, the caves or the dinosaurs.

Today after having visited almost all castles ou museums de Puisaye, we still have more to see and enjoy. Whether it's these summers where almost every week we are dazzled by fireworks, or these snow-white winters where we can bring ephemeral sculptures to life, it's in Puisaye that we love living, in our countryside. Finally, I admit, I loved raising my daughters in Puisaye… and it’s not over yet!
